The South Hill Junior Woman’s Club held its annual Little Spring Pageant Saturday, crowning winners in four age groups of girls and one of boys.
The petite miss category for 4-to 6-year-olds drew 11 contestants: Taylor Baisey, Kaley Blanton, Madisyn Hargrove, Hivelee Miller, Mia Schanewolf, Taylor Tatum, Haleigh Taylor, Brielle Thomas, Addison Thompson, Charlee Thompson, and Mollie Wilson. Brielle was named the winner. She is the daughter of Ryan Thomas and Lindsey Smith of Boydton. Kaley was the first runner-up, and Charlee was named Most Photogenic.
The little mister category for boys ages 4 to 6 had six contestants: Luke Champion, Malachi Coleman, Linwood “Scott” Currin, Rylan Gittman, Paxton Jones, and Preston Smiley. Luke won the title of Little Mister South Hill. He is the son of Logan and Stacie Champion of Chase City. Paxton was the first runner-up, and Malachi was named Most Photogenic.
Nine 7-to 9-year-old girls competed for the title of Little Miss South Hill, including Addison Ard, Spencer Arthur, Elizabeth “Eliza” Clary, JaKyria Crenshaw, Kinley Jackson, Maddison McAden, Addison Palmore, Paynter Satterwhite, and Lily Springer. JaKyria was the winner. She is the daughter of Corry Crenshaw and Ashley Hayes of La Crosse. Spencer was the first runner-up, and Kinley won the title of Most Photogenic.
Meredith Graham, Katie Hayes, Kardin Jones, and Claudia Smiley competed for the title of Pre-teen Miss South Hill. Meredith was crowned the winner and was also named Most Photogenic. She is the daughter of Alex and Lisa Graham of South Hill. Katie was the runner-up.
Whitney Dooley, MaKayla Meredith and Riley-Grace Turner competed in the Teen Miss South Hill pageant for 13-to 15-year old girls. Whitney was the overall winner and was named Most Photogenic. She is the daughter of Timmy Dooley and Amy Hatcher of Chase City. Riley-Grace was the runner-up.
