County School Board

meeting on Monday night,

several administrators presented

preliminary SOL

data from the 2014-15

school year to the board

regarding elementary, middle,

high school and special

education SOL scores

and pass rates, their notable

improvement and the

accreditation status of the

schools.

Tracy Rogers, Director

of Elementary Education,

reviewed division pass

rates and scores for each

grade and subject on the

elementary level.

“We have made gains in

all areas,” she said, pointing

out some “significant

gains,” such as grade 4

English, which increased by

15 percentage points, grade

5 math, which increased by

22 points and grade 5 science,

which increased by

18 points.
