The North View Baptist Church Family of South Hill celebrated the 109th Birthday of Mrs. Estelle Phillips Bell on January 29th at Pine View Assisted Living Facility where she resides. Mrs. Bell was surrounded and loved by her children, grandchildren, church family and many other family and friends.

After a short battle with cancer, Brent Richey passed away in his home on Tuesday, November 29. Brent was an Associate Professor in Mathematics at Southside Virginia Community College, where he previously served as the Director of Financial Aid and Dean of Enrollment.

On November 17, First Christian School in South Hill hosted a Shoebox Chapel for their program, Operation Christmas Child. This year there were over 108 shoeboxes created for those in need.
